  • LG G7 ThinQ vs Pixel 2 Camera Comparison!

Matthew Moniz (Online) In one of his first reviews of the device, tech vlogger Matthew Moniz featured a camera comparison of the LG G7 ThinQ and the Google Pixel 2. Overall, the piece was balanced and at many points, Matt seems to be more in favour of the camera on the G7. He compares each of the cameras in various settings, highlighting multiple outdoor scenarios and overall camera performance in low-light settings. He often describes the camera on the LG G7 ThinQ as ‘taking the more detailed shot and providing more accurate colours.’

He states, “The big difference though is that when you look at the car, you can see a lot more detail with the G7. If you look at the wheel, you can see between the spokes. There’s also a highlight running horizontally on the car which is apparent on the G7, but you can’t see it on the Pixel 2.”

Sixteen-Nine (Online) featured an article discussing LG’s showings at the ISE tradeshow in Berlin. Journalist Dave Haynes discusses the LED film that LG released earlier in the year.

He states, “The LEDs have a 24mm pixel pitch display – which means this is tech intended for ambient visuals and not for delivering important information. At that pitch, text would look from about 200 feet back. This (below) is what I shot at ISE. I love the tech, but it really is meant for distance viewing when your eye can’t resolve the individual pixels.”
